Track 8 off the debut album "Introducing Brock Landers"
lyrics
We move like ants marching through the tracts of
a smoke choked giant set in steel and stone.
Diagnose, medicate, it’s not you it’s just the way you’re made.
Comprehend, regurgitate, make ‘em believe that someone else’s to blame.
Well honestly, oh, honest me, I couldn’t bare to see another placated son.
Are we the only ones who choose to believe
that we must be the change that we would like to see?
Safe and sound, spinning high above the ground,
did you think it’d come crashing down?
We both know exactly how this ends,
allow me to please just lend a hand.
With you building up your walls,
lay the brick and stone, you’ll hide.
Never a thought of the world outside.
Brick by brick you’ll build dark spires, climb higher,
as the world far below continues to move in phantasmal patterns of shifting light and sound, and so ever you watch, perched upon your precipice imagining what it’s like holding the magnifying glass as molecules accelerate and all the world burns.
We both know exactly how this ends,
allow me to please just lend a hand.
Break down these walls!
All of the masses marching on;
single file perforation is law.
These corporations shoving their fists down our throats
Well you see, nothings wrong.
You feel nothing wrong?
Something is wrong.
The real Speed of Sound in Seawater is fast... relatively. This album is the same in that it goes by too fast and you are already putting it on repeat again. :p jason hankins
