Track 4 off the debut album "Introducing Brock Landers"
lyrics
Light bursts from the center after the sand filled mouth
sputters slanted syllables, speaking in shapes and sounds.
Thoughts pass before my eyes, opened wide.
Tell me have you seen that before? (what did you say?)
Has it always been so bright? (what did you, what did you say?)
Maybe we should just go back (inside).
Where are my eyes?
Oh, it seems they’ve turned inside
and what did they find?
Where are my eyes?
It seems they’ve turned inside and oh my god,
now what did they find?
digest make sense, the sounds not so sickening.
blue lights and shadows cast, floating the time away
oh my god, it always happens the same.
Cradled in her shifting arms, I’m drifting now.
Say that again man, could you not hear the sound?
Could you not see the sound?
Cradled in her shifting arms I’m drifting now.
Crashing waves upon my face ripple, swell, dilate, and then don’t they subside?
In dark waters I float through shadows grown of our own design.
Only rivers flow as I
and I know that the oceans waves,
they aren’t far behind.
The real Speed of Sound in Seawater is fast... relatively. This album is the same in that it goes by too fast and you are already putting it on repeat again. :p jason hankins
